The Transformation of a Giant Stone

While diamonds can be cut with predictable scientific precision, emeralds are notoriously unpredictable, revealing their secrets only during the meticulous cutting process. To tackle the challenge, Chopard assembled some of the world’s most skilled gem-cutters from India. Over nearly a year, they studied the gem at the brand’s Geneva workshops, eventually producing 850 carats of emeralds from the original 6,225-carat stone. Each cut was made to preserve the stone’s soul while showcasing its brilliance, ultimately allowing Chopard to design 15 distinct pieces.

Fifteen Creations of Elegance
The Insofu Collection consists of five pairs of earrings, four necklaces, three rings, a bracelet, and a jewellery watch. Inspired by the natural flow of organic lines, abstract motifs, and the refined geometry of Art Deco, each piece reveals a different facet of the emerald’s personality. Highlights include chokers reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties, bold cocktail rings, statement cuffs, and earrings that command attention. A signature piece, the elephant-shaped pendant, honors the gem’s name.
